District of Columbia Office of the Chief Financial Officer Budget Automation
The Office of the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for all fiscal activity with the District of
Columbia. The budget process is one of the most important tasks within their authority and they work directly with the Mayor’s office and the DC Council on all financial matters.
For many years, the Budget Reprogramming process has been accomplished manually through paper transactions. This system was plagued with delays and an inability to pinpoint bottlenecks. Additionally, there was little, if any, integration with the city financial system
Dynamics CRM was used to fully automate the Budget Reprogramming process. In addition to streamlining the flow of requests, this process now has integration with the financial system and can encumber monies at the beginning of the request process. Infostrat also worked closely with OCFO IT Management so the DC team have a comprehensive understanding of the benefits of CRM in the future.
multi-week ordeals can now be accomplished automatically within the span of a few days
clear organization of available budget, updated with every transaction

Based on their positive experience with Dynamics CRM and InfoStrat, OCFO adopted the Microsoft Stimulus360 solution and added additional software licenses.
