James Townsend
James Townsend Founder and President

James Townsend, Founder and CEO, has published over fifty articles and books on databases and business computing, the most recent being Building Portals, Intranets and Corporate Web Sites with Microsoft Servers (Addison Wesley, 2004) as well as Web Development with Microsoft Resources (SAMS, 1996).

Jim received his Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from Methodist College in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and his Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.

Timothy McCaffrey
Vice President of Operations

Timothy P. McCaffrey, Vice President of Operations, is responsible for overseeing all projects and managing the technical staff. Tim is responsible for ensuring complete customer satisfaction with every engagement.

Tim has over 30 years of experience in software development including management positions with Lotus Development Corporation and the Microsoft Corporation, where Tim spent eleven years in a variety of management roles in Redmond, London, and Washington, D.C.  His positions included work as a program manager in the Windows group, a manager of technical evangelists in the Developer Relations Group, a consultant with Microsoft Consulting Services, and as Solutions Team Manager in the Federal Sales Office.

Tim is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from the College of the Holy Cross where his major was mathematics and holds an MBA degree from the University of Michigan.

Josh Wall

Josh Wall, Manager of InfoStrat’s Charlottesville practice.

Josh has over 15 years experience in software development beginning with the development of groundbreaking automated site design software for the telecommunications industry and later as a consultant for Wang Global and Microsoft.

Josh spent four years with Microsoft Corporation as a consultant for federal customers including the State Department and Department of Defense focusing on high-end custom .Net development and collaboration solutions.

While at Microsoft, Josh earned the respect of the Commanding General of the Army and received the Commandant's Coin for extraordinary performance, an honor given to only two to three people per year worldwide, for his work on the Army Contractor Verification System.

Josh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems.

Jimmy is responsible for ensuring that InfoStrat stays on the leading edge of all of Microsoft's Portal and Infrastructure technologies.

Jimmy has been with InfoStrat for eight years and has been in the industry for over ten years.

Jimmy received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Administration from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland, and his Master of Science in Computer Systems from the University of Maryland.

Chris Wilson

Chris Wilson, Managing Partner for InfoStrat’s State and Local Practice, Austin, TX. With almost twenty years of experience at some of the world’s most admired companies, Chris brings significant experience in technology integration, process improvement, industrial engineering, distribution and logistics systems design and operations management.

After earning his Bachelor of Science Degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1984, Chris served five years as an Armor Officer in the United States Army.

Chris launched his business career at Pepsi Cola as an operations manager. His diversified career in operations management, financial analysis and executive management led to promotions to Division President for McLane Company, a Wal-Mart subsidiary; President, Photo-Me North America; and Chief Operating Officer, USA Floral Products.

Chris brings unique leadership and perspective to InfoStrat, combining exceptional analytical and performance management skills with strategic vision.

Deon L. Schaffer
Chief Technology Officer

Deon Schaffer, Chief Technology Officer. 

Deon plays an integral role in the company’s strategic direction, development, growth and risk management.  Deon is responsible for establishment and adherence to technical standards - integrating company processes with the appropriate methodologies and technologies.

 

Deon is a seasoned Technology Manager, Software Development Manager and Technical Architect.  Deon is an expert in all phases of the software development lifecycle, having over 15 years of experience in the IT industry - planning, designing, developing and deploying information systems.

 

Deon has led a number of highly successful .NET application projects, including a system for a federal agency with 1.5 million users.  Additionally, Deon manages our non-profit sector client base and oversees all operations for projects in this area.

 

Deon has multiple certifications in Microsoft technologies and holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Information Systems Engineering from Ben-Gurion University and an MBA from George Washington.
