Infostrat Named Microsoft Federal Partner of the Year
WASHINGTON (MAY 26, 1999) - Infostrat, a Washington, D.C.-based custom software developer, has been named the Microsoft Federal Systems Partner of the Year at the Microsoft Federal Partner Summit in Williamsburg, Va.
Each year, Microsoft Federal Systems recognizes one partner for its work with Microsoft sales, marketing and technical teams and clients in the Federal government. Digital Corp. , now Compaq Computer Corp., (CPQ) was named the Partner of the Year for 1998.
“Microsoft’s partner program is the best in the industry,” said Infostrat President Jim Townsend. “We receive a consistently high level of technical and business support. Even though we are a small business, Microsoft’s development tools and partnering opportunities allow us to play with the big guys.” The Microsoft Certified Solution Provider (MCSP) program enlists companies that sell and service for Microsoft products. Each sales district chooses an elite group of MCSPs to be Partners. The partners include system integrators, software development and consulting companies. “When choosing partners, Microsoft Federal looks for companies with a commitment to the Microsoft platform, the ability to add value to Microsoft products, expert employees, and a focus on new technologies, said Pete Hayes, general manager of Microsoft Federal Systems. “Infostrat excels strongly in all four areas.”
